BY PLANE FROM AMERIGO VESPUCCI AIRPORT: About 8 km away from the Florence airport: you can take a taxi (travel time approx. of 15 minuts) or the shuttle service for S. Maria Novella (travel time approx. of 20 minutes).
FROM S.MARIA NOVELLA STATION: Just a few minutes' walk from the main station, which is 600 meters away. Go straight along the street facing the station, Via dè Panzani, and continue onto Via dè Cerretani, once reached Piazza Duomo turn right onto Via Roma and after about 200 metres you will arrive onto Piazza della Repubblica. Our B&B is at number 3 on the third floor, side by side with the famous Cafe Giubbe Rosse.
BY CAR (FROM ROME) TAKE THE EXIT FIRENZE CERTOSA: Take the exit A1 Firenze-Certosa, about 6 km follow indications for Galluzzo, once reached piazza del Galluzzo... drive to the traffic light and north to the second traffic light on a slight slope, turn right... after about 700 metres you will find another traffic light. Turn left into Viale del Poggio Imperiale and keep going straight on and after about 500 metres you will reach a roundabout (there's a quite strange statue representing a woman with a man on her head) pass through Porta Romana, the huge stone gate you will find on your right, then continue along Via Romana (you're arriving in the old city center of Florence) until you reach Piazza S.Felice (there's an obelisk) turn left into Via Maggio, go straight on ahead and cross the bridge Santa Trinita over the Arno River (you will see Ponte Vecchio on your right), go straight on ahead into Via dè Tornabuoni, pass the traffic light and after 300 meters you will reach Piazza Antinori; pass the church and turn right, continue to the stop sign, turn right into Via dè Vecchietti until you reach Piazza Davanzati. You' re facing now Palazzo Davanzati: turn left and turn again on the left into Via Pellicceria, only 200 meters and you will arrive into Piazza della Repubblica. Our B&B is at number 3, side by side with the famous Cafe Giubbe Rosse, on the third floor. There is a welcome drink waiting for you.
BY CAR (FROM MILAN) TAKE THE EXIT FIRENZE NORD: drive straight along Viale Guidoni and after a roundabout, at the first traffic light turn right onto via Forlanini, keep going on straight and once reached the next roundabout take the second exit where the street has a slight slope; go straight direction Viale Redi for about 1,5 km until it crosses Viale Belfiore, turn right after the traffic light, go straight on and arriving at Porta al Prato proceed to Ponte alla Vittoria and pass over the bridge, at the roundabout take the third street on the right onto Via de' Vanni (pay attention because there are three streets and it can easily happen to take the wrong one) and then the second on the left onto Via del Pignoncino. You will find a traffic light: go straight along Via della Casa which leans you onto Piazza Pier Vettori, drive half around the piazza and you will reach Via Pisana, turn right, you will enter the ancient city centre. Now you are very close to us, go straight on and get over Porta S.Frediano, proceed straight until Borgo S. Frediano, once the traffic signs indicate you can only turn left in Piazza Sauro, immediately after the piazza turn right and you will see the river Arno on your left side. You are now on Lungarno Guicciardini, drive straight until you find the next bridge, Ponte Santa Trinita, cross over the bridge and take Via dè Tornabuoni, once reached Piazza Antinori turn right and after the stop sign go straight, drive slowly because you are in the pedestrian area; facing the dome take the second street to the right and after about 200 metres you will arrive on Piazza della Repubblica.
